How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment please call me at 202-321-7662 or send me an email. I personally answer all my own calls and emails.

If I am not available to answer your call, please leave a message on my confidential voicemail. It is helpful to leave a daytime phone number and an evening phone number, as well as the best times to reach you. I will call you back as soon as possible, generally within 24 hours.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 45 minutes long. For couples work, I sometimes find it helpful to book 90 minute double sessions.

What are your office hours?

All sessions are scheduled by appointment. My office hours are Monday through Friday, and include evening hours.

Where are you located?

My office is located in downtown Washington, DC, 1 block from the GWU/Foggy Bottom Metro (orange/blue line) stop and 5 blocks from the Farragut North (red line) Metro Stop. Several bus stops are located on the same block as my office.

A fee-based parking garage is located underneath the building. The entrance is on 23rd Street.

Can I use my insurance to be reimbursed for sessions?

The services I provide are reimbursable through insurance on an out-of-network basis. To see if this option is available to you, please contact your insurance company and inquire about “mental health out-of-network benefits”.

If you choose to use your insurance, you would pay me for my services directly, and then submit your claim to the insurance company. I will provide “insurance ready” receipts to help you with the insurance claim process.

What if I need medications in addition to therapy?

If you need to be evaluated for medication in addition to therapy, I will refer you to several psychiatrists with whom I have a close working relationship. Additionally, I believe in working collaboratively with any ongoing health care professional you may have who is already prescribing medications or who may be assisting you in other ways.
